In a recent aircraft regenerative cooling combustion chamber 3D printing project, the HBD 1000Pro metal AM system successfully addressed the challenge of internal surface treatment. The combustion chamber outer wall features numerous longitudinally curved rectangular internal passages with a rectangular cross-section dimension of 1mm x 1.5mm. The traditional manufacturing production cycle is approximately 2 months, whereas metal 3D printing has not only reduced manufacturing costs but also significantly shortened the production process and cycle to approximately 10 days. Additionally, it has improved product qualification rates and consistency, markedly reducing reliance on manual skills.

In efforts to strengthen their technological expertise and innovative edge, HBD has embarked on extensive collaborations with companies in the Consumer Electronics Industry, focusing on exploring lean production models tailored for scalable additive manufacturing solutions.

One notable collaboration involves the Luban Titanium Alloy Hinge, independently developed by HONOR, with participation from several additive manufacturing companies including HBD. This hinge is a key component of the HONOR Magic V2, playing a pivotal role in achieving a remarkable thickness breakthrough of 9.90mm. By harnessing the benefits of titanium alloy technology, the axle cover within the hinge is made lighter and thinner, resulting in reduced overall thickness and weight of the folding screen.

From laser powder bed fusion technology (LPBF) to laser additive and cutting manufacturing technology (LACM), and beyond to Metal Additive Manufacturing Composite Equipment, HBD persists in refining its metal additive manufacturing solutions. Currently, HBD has established a robust metal Additive Manufacturing ecosystem with multiple key technological advantages.
