We are a humble group of open-source development enthusiasts who founded this company because of our shared passion and interests. Initially, we dreamed of creating robots as impressive as the Gundam series, which led to our English name – uCRobotics (You See Robot). Later, our Chinese name, “威控睿博”, was established.
By a twist of fate, we stumbled upon 3D printing technology in 2011 while engaged in our robot development endeavors. At that time, it was a budding and intriguing technology. Captivated by its potential for rapid prototyping, we became inspired to introduce 3D printing to China.
Starting from 2011, we introduced the MakerBot 3D printer to China, and had the honor of becoming MakerBot’s first official distributor in the country. Subsequently, we also brought in a range of innovative products like the Massportal 3D printer, Structure Sensor 3D scanner, and Double Robotics. Some of these received positive feedback from domestic users. By 2018, we modestly became the official distributor for Ultimaker, a leading name in desktop 3D printing, for the China region.
In 2020, we were grateful to obtain the official distributorship for Formlabs in China, emerging as a premier distributor.
By 2022, we had collaborated with Bambulab, becoming their authorized distributor in China.
Yet, we haven’t forgotten our original dream. We continue to invest in embedded development projects like artificial intelligence, robotics, and vision recognition. Research and development is a challenging and lengthy journey. While we’ve achieved modest milestones, there’s still a long road ahead. We quietly believe that in the not-so-distant future, uCRobotics will make its mark in new arenas, under a new light.
